Now for those of you looking to get on my good side...

First and foremost, this review site is heavily based on your design (you'd know that if you read the rules). If your design is not "up to par" don't expect a huge score. I grade fairly, if you deserve half the points, you'll get them--BUT--you will be given instructions on how to improve your diary.

So, some beginners instructions on improvement?

1) The less links you have, the less confusing it is. So consolidate. To do this make "contact" pages, and "extras" pages.

2) Organization is key.

3) Tagboards=ew. If you refuse to get rid of it, at least hide it.

4) The ladies/gents at Embellished are always willing to help. And it's great to get in with them and figure out what's what.

5) I had some emails about how to do certain things (match scroll bar colors, add AIM as a link, etc) so I've collected the most common helpers I can think of and I've started a list on how to enter codes etc for you beginners and what can help make your page just that much better. If they aren't working, contact me, we'll work on it.

[Colored Scrolls (IE 5.5 only)]
Simply edit the colors to what you want based on the scrollbar diagram and place the code in your < head > to < /head > section.

[Drop Down Menus]
Have a tight spot to navigate? Perhaps drop-downs are for you; simply place this code wherever you wish to have the menu show up (side note: sometimes if your code isn't valid xhtml this will mess with your page).

[Adding the "Last Five"]
Make your last five entries appear by putting this code in the appropriate place in your design where you want it to show up (use only if you have short titles and the room/design to fit).

[Non-Underlined Links]
Stick this somewhere in between the < head > and < /head > codes somewhere near the other style stuff and your links will no longer be underlined (or just find the same parts of your code that say this and replace "underline" with "none" so the codes don't conflict).

[Removing Nav Bars]
This code will allow you to remove the very bottom bar on your viewer's internet explorer or other browser by simply entering it into your < head > to < /head > section (almost always compliant).

[Make your AIM Link Active]
Simple enter this in as your AIM link and when people click, your buddy name will pop up (providing you change it) along with a message of your choice (see the code for instructions).

[Allow AIM Users to Add You]
Simply link this as a regular link and change your screen name.

[Customize Your Rings]
Suggested for users who have many many rings and would like to consolidate them and make them look uniform. Simply replace the titles "NAME" with the name of the ring.

Style #1:
[ Title of Your Ring ]
last - random - list - next

The code for Style #1 is:

Style #2:
<-- | ?? | Title of Your Ring | ## | -->

The code for Style #2 is:
